On OSX, the quickest way to send MIDI from your DAW to MixStage DAW Streamer is to activate Apple’s virtual MIDI device - the IAC driver

Activate Apple IAC driver

To configure this you open the Audio MIDI setup on your Mac

Then you go to Window and choose “Show MIDI Studio”

Double click the IAC driver icon to show Properties.

To activate the device, check the box for “Device is online”

TIP: The standard port is named “Bus 1” but you can rename it by clicking on the name, you can also add more buses and remove if needed with the plus and minus buttons.

NOTE: Make sure to click “Apply” and then you’re done.

DAW Setup

In the DAW, the MIDI device will be displayed as “IAC driver bus 1” or whatever you named it. Follow the steps for your specific DAW to send MIDI to the DAW Streamer.
